Nommity-nom-nom-nom!

Hello! I'm glad this isn't a video chat because then you'd have to watch me food-gasming everywhere! I'm eating pan-fried pork chop with pepperjack, avocado, spinach and salsa in a whole-wheat pita! These pepperjack singles by Kraft are perfect for quick, easy, melty goodness!


This doesn't do it justice! It's 10 x more amazing.
Course two is roasted veggies with EVOO and salt.
And....I just finished it and I'm back to update the post. After course two, I hit up some pita chips and salsa.
Today was super-intense at work. I finished my feature stories – one about highschool band performance and another about a local author's new romance novel – and I got started on my 4 news stories.
At the end of the day I was so dead! Do you guy's ever feel that? I've started doing two min-workouts a day, one at lunch and another after work, to give me a little pickup. Is that weird? It feels great but I have to be sure not to overdo it. I've been hearing a lot lately about female athletes undereating and I really need to watch that.
Sometimes I do feel unhealthy thoughts rising up in my head, thoughts that think waif-ish is beautiful; voices that say depriving myself of food is self-discipline; and over-exercising is a way to deal with strong emotions. I want to realize these voices and consciously NOT do what they say!
This week I want to re-affirm my commitment to a healthy lifestyle that balances exercise and eating and friends and family and work.
That said, I have a great salad combo for y'all!
  • Spinach base
  • Chopped avocado
  • Dollop of humus
  • Roasted Brussels sprouts with EVOO
  • Salt, peppah, whatevah...
Mix and consume, and thank me for the green goodness in your mouth! Did that sound kinky? Don't take it like that. :)

  3. It's amazing how exhausting work/school can be, there's nothing I love more than getting home in the evening, watching trashy tv and eating a big bowl of cold deliciousness (yoghurt or fro-yo or ice cream) and then crashing for the night.
