Food Pics! FInally!

Hello girls,
Thanks first to my wonderful sister who supplied me with various calming herbs and stuff to help me sleep! Lavender essential oil does wonders for stress! I've been smelling this little bottle of it throughout the workday, and I've succeeded in not letting anything get me worked up.
First day back was very productive, but sleep that night was just not happening...I tossed and turned for 2 + hours...I feel okay today, though. It's probably due to the great sleep I had Sunday night.
Today I worked till 12 and left to take advantage of my half-day. At the gym I elliptical-ed for 50 some minutes while reading "The Lovely Bones." I can't tell you how often I hear – "I don't know how you can read and run at the same time!" I just say – practice. It makes me feel really productive to exercise and read in tandem.
After that I hit up some consignment stores, bought nothing, stopped by the grocery store for various items and headed home for lunch, which was...

The tomatoes were grown by a friend of my bf's family and they're luscious! Home-grown tomatoes are nothing like the store-bought kind! If you have access to a garden or farmer's market, get some now while they're in season!
Johnny made a blog-worthy lunch today too. I've converted another innocent soul to the wonders of oats + nut butter.

How beautiful is that? By the way, he also figured out yoatgurt all by himself. Isn't he great?

That's enough for now. I think in a bit I'll bake something having to do with blueberries. We have about a million pounds of them from another neighbor.

  1. Yay tomatoes! I just got me some beauties at the farmer's market along with a bouquet of basil; tonight will be made of Caprese awesomeness. :D
